Rice NW Museum of Rocks and Minerals
Description: Housed in a historical landmark in Hillsboro, Oregon, the Rice NW Museum of Rocks and Minerals is one of the finest rock and mineral museums in the United States. The world-renowned exhibits, unique architecture, and picturesque grounds make this a museum for everyone. The exhibits contain one of the world’s finest collections of crystals from worldwide localities including the “Alma Rose” rhodochrosite from Colorado and an unsurpassed petrified wood gallery. Our Northwest exhibit contains the largest known opal thunderegg, zeolites, and much more. The museum is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation.
