Who we are and what we do……
Next of Kin has performed as a trio at many community festivals and fund-raising events, as well as clubs, county fairs, retirement facilities, and even private home parties. We present family-friendly, acoustic, toe-tapping arrangements of classic Country and Western tunes along with many other classic favorites from the ’20’s to today, with songs from artists like Merle Haggard, Don Gibson, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, and Patsy Cline just to name a few. This is a “Feel Good” show that will bring smiles and enjoyment to the young and young at heart. Your Residents will leave feeling great about the experience !
About Us……
Next of Kin, Alan and Lou Mickelson (Father and Daughter-in-law duo who truly are “next of kin”), are available as a duet, but have also come up with a great way to add some variety to the set list and get that fuller sound and sweet harmonies they love and larger audiences expect. Because they prefer to play as a trio, starting in March 2016, Next of Kin may feature a local artist as a Special Guest, who may play any number of instruments. Next of Kin is excited to present these new options to our audiences.
