Laila Murphy: Broadway Showtunes, Classical Flute and Piano Soloist
I am a professional singer, flutist, and pianist who provides an engaging program of Broadway Favorites and Classical Flute repertoire that uplifts the heart! Here are some of the songs from Broadway shows I’d like to sing for you:
- “The Sound of Music” and “Climb Every Mountain”, from the Sound of Music
- “Some Enchanted Evening”, from South Pacific
- “Summertime”, from Porgy and Bess
- “Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man”, from Showboat
- “Memory”, from CATS
My Flute repertoire includes music of Bach, Handel, Gershwin and more!
Audiences find me lively and interactive, and I always get great feedback.
I received my musical training from Northwestern University. I have performed with Oregon Symphony and the Portland Opera, and have played many leads in musicals around the area.
Looking forward to entertaining you at senior facilities and events in the Portland/Vancouver area!

Praise for Laila Murphy:
“Laila is so exuberant and outgoing. She carries on a casual conversation with the residents in-between playing masterful pieces or singing. Laila warms the room when she walks in the door.” Rachael K., Director of Life Enrichment, West Hills Village
