How Long Jug Band- Blues & Ragtime w/ Washboards, Kazoos, Mandolins, & Banjos!
A jug band is defined by its use of homemade instruments. The How Long Jug Band blends their kazoos, washboards, and jugs seamlessly with their conventional guitars, mandolins, and banjos. They have released three albums, and performed several times at the National Jug Band Jubilee in Louisville, Kentucky. Inspired by the great jug bands of the 1920’s and 30’s, the How Longs play a mixture of traditional blues, ragtime and early jazz tunes, all with an easygoing attitude that’s a pleasure to see.
