From ragtime and boogie-woogie to big band and jazz music, from musical theater to popular music of the 1890s to present, Gordon’s repertoire provides something for everyone. His lively playing style has people tapping their toes and singing along as he plays.
A classically trained pianist, Gordon has been playing jazz and popular music in Portland, Oregon for the last 30 years. He has worked with a variety of groups including several years as the keyboardist for Miles Ahead, a recording and touring jazz quintet. He currently leads several ensembles – a piano vibraphone trio and a piano bass and drum trio and various combinations of those instruments for duos and quintets.
