Smooth Country Blues, with John Cannon

WONDERFUL CLASSIC country songs, some current, and a couple originals from my own CD. Song sets will vary depending upon setting: DANCES, DINNERS, PARTIES etc. I accompany myself on rhythm guitar and will add variations at times to the professionally pre-recorded instrumentals, which are chosen to most closely reflect the original instrumentals that made the songs hits! I use professional top-of-the-line band equipment for the most beautiful sound, with great feel but never-punishing rhythm. I’m “un-young and un-pretty“, but I’m the real deal, riding my own horses (Jake & Gus) in the back-country where I am grateful, seeing our nation’s beautiful land! (I do invite semi-professional artist friends to join me on occasion)

I am based in the Portland/Vancouver area but will travel to Mid-Willamette Valley (travel expenses apply)

Guitarists Frank Walden and Alan Corbeth offer listeners a full range of old standards, from the 30′s, 40′s and 50′s plus a large pallet of country and contemporary music!

Frank Walden plays the “Chet Atkins style” of finger picking guitar. He was a Nashville musician who backed such famous stars as The Carter Family, The Louvin Brothers, Little Jimmy Dickins, and a host of others. Frank is one of the premiere finger style guitarists in the entire Northwest.

Alan Corbeth has worked in the recording and broadcasting industry all of his life. He primarily backs Mr. Walden and also plays his own versions of 50′s, and Americana music.

At the age of nine I started listening to Classic Country Music greats such as Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Lynn Anderson and Juice Newton, just to name a few. I love to sing, and have competed in many Karaoke contests both locally and nationally, singing Tammy Wynette’s song “Stand By Your Man.” I have also competed with a live band in the Colgate Country Showdown Nationwide Talent Search and twice made it to the finals!

Monte Watters, Pianist/Entertainer

Let me bring my wide-ranging piano music to your facility or event! I play many styles of music from the 1930′s to today: Swing, pop, standards, blues, country, romantic, easy listening, gospel, and holidays! I have even recorded two CD’s, “Autumn Leaves” and “Christmas Memories”. Count on me for all occasions and special events.

**Think of Monte for your Memory Care residents! He currently performs at multiple Memory Care facilities. He interacts well with memory care residents and finds that music is something they really respond to–helping to improve their quality of life. Monte is also a former long-term-care administrator with professional experience in memory care. Now, in his role as an entertainer, he hopes to bring some joy to memory care residents.
