Charles Suniga presents his Moments of Peace program, with the help of Jeannine and Audrey, to senior communities throughout the Portland/Vancouver and Salem areas. He plays Electric Grand Piano, and augments his show with a synthesizer to provide the variety of strings, horns or whatever a song needs. He also sings! A long-time professional pianist who performs background music (including Grammy nominated original music) for large events around the country, Charles loves to entertain seniors. Charles says “It is about the people, so I make sure I get in a few names, in the songs”. Jeannine also sings, and Audrey occasionally tells a joke. Jeannine and Audrey mingle among the residents and help out. They even dance with the residents, whether it be in their chairs or wheelchairs. Charles has a huge repertoire–about 400 songs. Tunes like “What a Wonderful World”, “New York, New York”, “You are My Sunshine”, “Blue Moon”, “Tennessee Waltz”, “Mac the Knife”, just to name a few. And he wants you to know that he does different shows each time he visits! **He also loves saluting Vets, inviting Veteran residents to share their years of service, rank and job duties. Then he has everyone join in on a chorus of Glory Glory Hallelujah!

Read some excerpts from testimonials on Charles Suniga’s Moments of Peace :

“Wow, Charles Suniga is an amazing performer who gets the audience smiling and moving to the beat. He is truly a favorite amongst the elderly and I encourage other facilities to hire him and his two helpers, Jeannine and Audrey.” Rhonda R., Tierra Rose

“When I received the call promoting Charles Suniga I felt it was worth giving him a try. It was probably the best decision I have made all year. During his performance my residents were smiling, laughing, tapping their feet, and swaying in their chairs. Immediately after, I was stopped and told it was the best performer they have had in the history of Homewoods and have requested him back to play once a month. Charles, you brought happiness and peace to my residents.” Annie G. Homewoods on the Willamette

“… As far as the music and the entertainment provided, it is hands down a show stopper! …Charles makes a habit to call residents by name making them feel special, making them feel wanted. Jeannine is kind and gentle and is always walking around having one on one conversations with residents…Audrey is made from the same mold. Kind, compassionate and loving, there is nothing she would not do to help anyone.” Rhonda M. Odd Fellows Retirement

“…He really engages the residents and plays songs they can relate to! Many choose to sing along. Some who have not danced in years feel moved to dance to his music! It is rewarding for me to see how energized and happy they become listening to his music. ..He loves playing for them as much as they like listening or dancing to him…” Shera K., Summerfield Retirement Estates
