<p>**Two Holiday events to get you in the spirit!<br />
&#8220;1944 Christmas From Home&#8221;. Tapestry Theatre once again presents this<br />
stage play, which re-creates a 1940&#8242;s radio broadcast,and features live<br />
music and stories about life here in Portland as well as on the front<br />
lines of WW II.<br />
Performances take place at the Hollywood Theatre, 4122 NE Sandy Boulevard,<br />
in Portland, from December 4-20, 2009. Times: 7:30pm Fridays and<br />
Saturdays; 2pm Sundays; Additional shows 7:30 pm Thursday, December 17 and<br />
2 pm Saturday December 19. Ticket prices: $10 Veterans/$19 Adults/$17<br />

<p>&#8230;and the Northwest Senior Theatre presents its Holiday Gala &#8220;Sing a Song<br />
of Merry Christmas&#8221;, on December 9-12.All shows are at 2pm, and take place<br />
at Alpenrose Dairy Opera House, 6149 SW Shattuck Road, in Portland.<br />

full hour stage show filled with plenty of variety, from barbershop to<br />

<p>**Have you heard Nuestro Canto? This duo brings &#8220;Inspirational Sounds from<br />
Latin America&#8221; to your facility or event.With vocals, guitar and small<br />
percussion instruments, Nuestro Canto performs traditional and<br />
contemporary music from Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil and other<br />
countries. They will entertain you with a variety of styles and<br />
rhythms,such as corridos, rancheras, boleros, bossa nova, sambas, and<br />

<p>**Reminder for special occasions!The Alpine Echoes Band specializes in<br />
German, Scandinavian and folk dance music, and they play for dancing or<br />
listening pleasure. They do authentic folk dances, and can also feature<br />
several teaching dances for audience participation.Alpine<br />
Echoes&#8217;repertoire includes Polkas, waltzes, swing, country western, fox<br />
trot, schottisches, hambos, specialty folk dances and the chicken dance!<br />
Their music is from many countries: Germany, Austria, France,<br />
Russia,Italy, Mexico, Norway, Sweden, the United States and others.They<br />
play a variety of instruments like accordian, clarinet, tuba, flute,<br />
banjo, bass, fiddle, trumpet, drums, Austrian cowbells, and vocals. Check<br />
