Jim Pritchard, Pop Music Historian and DJ!

I am a pop music historian and DJ, specializing in the music of the years 1925-1975.  As an ex-radio DJ (’61-’76), I bring a superb speaking ability, personal knowledge of the era, and numerous personal stories of celebrities I interacted with! I DJ dances in small venues with a VAST array of the music of yesteryear. So contact me for a presentation on pop music history, OR to be the DJ at your facility or event.

I already entertain at Portland area senior facilities but I’d enjoy doing more–and I am available to travel widely!

Words of Praise for Jim Pritchard:

“I would like to provide this review for Jim Pritchard/music history. He is great. My residents are so attentive to his program and they just love him. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining. He is flexible and easy to work with as well. I highly recommend him.” Tami I., Activities, Somerset Assisted Living

“DJ and pop historian Jim Pritchard is one of the most unique entertainers that I’ve met in my 5+ years as an activity director. Residents are literally spellbound by his stories of meeting celebrities, and his knowledge of the music and radio industry. His voice is obviously resonant and booming to be in radio, and his sense of humor always evokes laughter. He’s dj’d and hosted dances, reminisce circles, and presented his radio history talk with song snippets for us. It’s amazing, to go back in time with him! Jim is very gracious to the senior audience, and very easy to work with–I hope many more activity directors will discover this gem and see their residents musically delighted, too!” Danette, U., Activity Director, Quarry Senior Living, Vancouver
