Pretty Birds Aviary

Pretty Birds Aviary rents beautiful, fully functional, and easy to maintain aviaries to businesses and communities within the Pacific Northwest. Our aviaries can also be purchased by individuals wishing to enjoy the lovely colors and songs of our finches within their own home. Custom designs are available to meet any decor. Be sure to ask us about free monthly servicing/cleaning/restocking for your rented aviary!

Each aviary is custom designed for its intended space. Typical size is 4 to 8 ft, but smaller or larger is up to you! And the size does NOT affect the rental price!

Health and Safety are our top priorities. Aviaries are especially popular with senior living communities, doctors offices, lobbies, and restaurants. For your safety and the birds’, HEPA filters will clean the air that enters and exits the aviary. Solid polycarbonate (bullet proof glass) panels separate the finches’ environment from ours. It’s sealed.

Oregon’s Lake Oswego Avian Medical Center inspects and signs off on each aviary prior to installation. Customers are welcome, and even encouraged to contact your local vet and/or doctor directly to verify any safety concerns.

Finches are our birds of choice for your aviary. They are small,seed-eating songbirds that require minimal maintenance, and have a very pretty song. Their social behavior is quite interesting to observe. And yes, they will make babies. And who doesn’t just LOVE discovering babies you can point and gawk at? Watching finches makes times fly…your residents and staff will smile!

Your tasks are simple: You provide fresh water daily, through the side mount, quick release feeders. Bird seed typically needs to be refilled every other day–It’s all designed to be done from the outside, in under 2 minutes! And weekly, a maintenance person should clean out the mat through the underside door, which lets the tray slide out, not the birds. It’s a very simple process, and we’ll keep you stocked with plenty of fresh and pretty fiber mats.

Here’s what we’ll do: Monthly, a Pretty Birds representative will arrange to service your aviary. We re-stock your bird seed. You never pay for seed or other necessities. We’ll supply as many news floor mats as you need, and can compost the used ones if you wish. We’ll clean the aviary from the inside so your staff won’t have to, and we’ll even check on your birds’ health. If you have sick birds–which should never happen, with the HEPA filters–call us right away. If you hire new staff, our service technicians can orient them to the workings of your aviary.
