Words of Praise for Cheryll Simmerman:  “Cheryll totally engaged all of the residents in her program and entertained with energy & flair & fun. She is a very gifted musician and a pleasure to listen to. She was so kind to come on short notice and arrived on New Year’s Eve for our Happy Hour get together. I would highly recommend Cheryll. Thanks so much for featuring her on ElderAudience. That was how I was able to connect with her.” Maril R., Activities Director, The Heights at Columbia Knoll

“Cheryll has the voice of an angel and the heart of one as well. She’s excellent with  elderly-and-declinlng adults, and is very generous with her time and  talents. When you hear her sing you’ll be disappointed that you don’t sing as well.”  John L., vocalist who has sung with Cheryll many times at Three Crowns Park Retirement in Evanston, Illinois.

“It gives me a great pleasure to to be able to share with you in a few words the contribution, impact and lasting impressions that Cheryll Simmerman made in the participants of our seniors in Hamilton County.  I talked to other participants that have known Cheryll.  I found out that she goes back 15 years.  She is remembered as far as when she taught them Spanish. She shared her music, shared her photography and remarkable stories of her travels.  I looked forward to her visits and made it a point to tell all my senors of her pending visit and they would all show up to our weekly meeting.  Her life is of contributing, giving and sharing without asking anything in return.  We miss our friend but now she will make contributions in the beautiful Northwest. I hope this will give you some idea of what Cheryll will bring to other seniors.”  Alice F., Former Activity Director, Shepherd’s Center of America of Hamilton County, Noblesville,  Indiana

“Cheryll is wonderful and a terrific volunteer. She primarily spent her time with residents in our assisted living facility and our two healthcare households bringing joy through music. With her lovely singing voice and with her bright smile and warm engaging personality she made many friends here at Three Crowns Park. For our annual picnic for residents and families she often sang with the swing band and always received rousing applause.
In summary, Cheryll is a gem. During her time with us, she made quite an impression and I am pleased to have the opportunity to provide this recommendation. ” Trish H., Director of Development, The Crowns Foundation Evanston, Illinois
