I perform and teach classical guitar, specializing in South American music. In addition to maintaining a private studio,I teach at Reed College and Oregon Episcopal School. For three years, I headed Classical Guitar studies at Lewis and Clark College. I have lived, studied and performed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I worked with many celebrated teachers including Fabio Nin and Maria Lucia. And, I have performed in 6 countries and across the United States. In collaboration with a percussionist, I  recently released an album, Brasileirinho!

I enjoy performing both in recital as well as background music–plus, I offer interactive classical guitar presentations, where we discuss music and composers, and listen to pieces in an informal and conversational manner.
