**Oregon is Llama country! And ElderAudience now has one–Rojo the Therapy Llama would love to visit your senior community or private event. Rojo is the only certified therapy llama in the Portland/Vancouver area. He comes dressed for every occasion(see his pic in his listing), and is a big hit–also for visiting grandchildren! Rojo is listed in ElderAudience under our Miscellaneous and Holidays categories, or go to his website at www.RojoTheLlama.com ** The World Forestry Center, listed on ElderAudience, is taking visitors on a photo journey through Portland’s treasured Forest Park, in “A Year in the long life of Forest Park” with an exhibit showcased at the Forestry Center’s Discovery Museum in Washington Park. For a period of more than 2 years, photographer Bruce MacGregor hiked about 200 miles through Forest Park to capture the usual, and unusual landscape of Portland’s Crown Jewel. Dates: July 12-September 27. Museum open 10 am-5pm. Admission $7 for seniors.Read more about the World Forestry Center in ElderAudience’s Museum, Nature/parks, or Outings categories! ** Catch some great music in a gorgeous, peaceful setting this summer! THREE musical groups who are listed on ElderAudience happen to be performing on different dates as part of Tryon Creek Park’s FREE summer music series. Each show is on Sunday at 2pm, at the park (11321 SW Terwilliger Blvd, Portland). First up are the Westside Singers, featuring show tunes and 40′s favorites, on July 12; Beltaine (hammered dulcimer) on August 16; and Puddin’ River Jazz band on August 30. The setting at Tryon Creek has paved access, plenty of chairs, and is covered for shade. Hope you plan an outing–I will!
