Greetings again from Pam at ElderAudience! Hope you are all surviving this rather sultry weather we are having. Reminds me of why I left the midwest! A few updates that may be of interest… **Reminder that the next prize drawing for a free performance by one of our listed entertainers is this Friday, June 5! If you know of senior facilities who may not be aware of ElderAudience, please share this with them and have them shoot me an e mail at pam@elderaudience.com to be eligible for this and future drawings! **New listing–Many of you may know soprano Margaret Blaine, who has been singing around town for years! Margaret’s repertory is wide-ranging, from Broadway, to opera, to old favorites. Think of Margaret (who has an accompanist) when planning your next event, including holidays and special occasions! Margaret is listed in the Music and Holiday categories. **One of our listed storytellers, Anne Rutherford is appearing at a FREE event this Friday at the Sellwood SMILE Station, 8210 SE 13th in Sellwood, from 6:30-9pm: Drop in for a taste of storytelling, art and local history as you enjoy the galleries, shops and eateries open for First Friday in Sellwood-Westmoreland. This free community event–”First Friday Open House”– is sponsored by SMILE and the Sellwood History Committee. Activities include: STORYTELLING – Northwest Tales of Outlaws & Wild, Wild Women by Anne Rutherford (short story sets about every half hour) ART DISPLAY – Photography by Ron Geitgey / Watercolors by Jeannie Lynn Paske / Metal Sculpture by John Fyre NEIGHBORHOOD HISTORY – Historic walking tour at 7:45 led by Dana Beck REFRESHMENTS FOR SALE – from lovecup cafe Continue on down the block for a glass of wine, more local art, a foot soak, a coffee drink, live music and more at the many Sellwood First Friday events.
