**Nothing’s better than a ride in the country on the Mt. Hood

**With summer, it must be time for outdoor theater! We have just added
listings for two theater companies who are offering FREE performances of
Shakespeare: The PORTLAND ACTORS ENSEMBLE is performing King Lear at
Cathedral Park in North Portland, and ORIGINAL PRACTICE SHAKESPEARE
FESTIVAL presents “Midsommer Nights Dreame” at various Portland parks.

**And we’ve just learned that Bill Whitney Senior Players, who have long
been listed on ElderAudience, are performing that great old show,”Auntie
Mame” on Wed 6/24 and Th 6/25, both at 1:30, and Friday 6/26 at 7:30pm.
All performances held at Sherwood Senior Center and are FREE (with

**Add some Free music as part of your summer outings! Jass Two Plus One,
who are listed on ElderAudience, will perform their “Hot Swing Jazz from
the ’20′s and ’30′s” at the Woodburn Company Stores (back mall) on July
11, 1:30-3:30; July 26, August 15, and August 22 from 1-3pm. They are also
appearing at Oaks Park in Portland on three Saturdays from 2-4 pm:
6/20,8/29, and 9/5. Check out Jass Two Plus One under our Music category;
This is a “high end” group suited for the most special events at your
facility.
**Looking for some lovely, relaxing piano music for your residents? That’s
what Patrick Burke will bring to your facility. Patrick describes his
music as “Original classic solo piano”–he is an original composer with
his own unique style and sense of melody! He has recorded 3 CD’s, and
played at many senior facilities. Please review Patrick Burkes’s listing
under our Music category.
**Lee Wallace is a vocalist of popular songs from the 20′s through the
60′s, a la Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, Al Jolson, and
other well-known songs of the Big Band era. He presents an hour long show
with accompanist Ardeth Fullmer, and guarantees you will enjoy their
program! Lee offers a special Holiday show. He also currently performs
with the Northwest Senior Theatre and the Westside Singers.Find listings

**And speaking of Northwest Senior Theatre, they have just announced their
Holiday event: “Sing a Song of Merry Christmas”, a variety show of
singing, dancing, and skits by an all-star 55+ cast, with their signature
beautiful sets and costumes. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday,
Dec.9-12, 2 pm, at Alpenrose Dairy Opera House in S.W. Portland. $5
