Also, some of those already listed on ElderAudience are available to
travel to the Mid-Valley. I will do my best to identify listings with
particular geographic limits, and I have also started a Mid-Willamette

destinations based in the Mid Valley that might be suitable, please send
them my way, by having them contact me at info@elderaudience.com. Thanks!

**Anyone out there interested in participating in a Beanbag baseball

Village in Raleigh Hills has asked me to spread the word: “Do you have a
bean bag baseball team? Would you like to play teams from other
communities? Hi, I’m Michele, the activity director from Courtyard
Village-Raleigh Hills. We have a team which would love to play others. If
there is enough interest, would people be interested in a “league” for
the summer? We would have to come up with general rules for playing one
another. Please join the PortlandVancouverSeniorActivitiesDirectors group on
yahoo at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PortlandVancouverSeniorActivitiesDirectors
We can set up a playing schedule or we could keep it “loose”
(independently call each other for a game).Hope to chat with some of you
on the yahoo group about this! Thanks.”

Elvis contests all over the place!Recently, he competed in a two night
Elvis contest at Spirit Mountain Casino, on what would have been Elvis
Presley’s 75th birthday.Wearing a spectacular black & white jumpsuit
replica of one that Elvis wore in the early 1970′s called the Cisco Kid,
Mark received a standing ovation for his rendition of “My Way” the first
night which landed him in the top three. The top three contestants from
Friday night were then asked back for the finals on Saturday. On
Saturday, Mark came out in Leather, a replica of the leather outfit Elvis
wore in the “1968 Comeback” TV Special. A fast and edgy “Jailhouse Rock”
and a powerful rendition of “If I dream” led Mark to a final showdown
between the top two contestants. Ray-vis of Portland, OR chose to sing the
popular gospel song “Peace in the Valley” and Mark chose the powerful
gospel song “How Great Thou Art”. Sending chills thoughout the crowd,
Mark nailed the highs and lows of the powerful song and received two
standing ovations to garner him the win. This past October, Mark also
received first place when he competed against 15 other “ELVII” at an Elvis
Contest in Gresham. And in late February, he will be traveling to Yuma,to
